Only Dist. 9 now used by Traffic Section, is still being used.   It’s over 100 yrs old.  When built in 1908, it was the most expensive police horse stable in U.S.  3/5th of building was for horses. Prior to this the patrol house (for horses), and the station house (for patrolmen) were separate buildings. The first floor left side as you face building was for wagon parking.  Whole rear first floor were 15 oversized horse stalls.  Same L shape configuration on 2nd floor was for hay loft.  The right side of building as you face it, was for human use.

The patrol house at Columba Parkway and Eire Avenue is now a high priced steakhouse.
