Police Officer Ricky Gene Todd P-664
(1954-2024)

 

 

Ricky was born April 20, 1954 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert “Bobby Gene” Todd and Valda LaRue. He attended Hughes High School, graduating in 1972. He also attended the University of Cincinnati until 1976.

Beginning in April 1977, he worked as a store detective for Rinks Department Store.

In August 1977, he became a Germantown, Ohio Police Officer. He then transferred to Elmwood Place Police Department in November 1977. In September 1978, he transferred again to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad until he was laid off in November 1986.

Ricky joined the Cincinnati Police Division as a Police Recruit on July 5, 1987. He was promoted to Police Officer on November 22, 1987, issued Badge 664, and assigned to District 5 (1012 Ludlow Avenue). He was rotated to District 1 (310 Ezzard Charles Drive) on February 12, 1989. Officer Todd was medically separated on June 27, 1992 with 14 years of law enforcement service.

Officer Todd died after a brief illness on August 17, 2024 at the age of 70.

He was predeceased by his brother, Terry Todd. Officer Todd is survived by his wife, Gayle Ann Todd; children, Lauri Heinlen, Megan Elizabeth Todd (Alex), Brian Waters (Susan), and Michael Heinlen (Cynthia); grandchildren, Kaydence, Harper, and Kaia; and siblings, Michael Todd (Cynthia), Kim Kilburn (Garry), Tammy Litschgi, and Robin Hall (Ben).

A Memorial Service will be held from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. on August 30, 2024 at Radel Funeral Home at 650 Neeb Road.
