Lieutenant Foresteen “Tina” Hann
(1939-2024)

 

 

Tina was born October 1, 1939, in Kings Creek, Kentucky, to Roosevelt and Freeda (Ingram) Ratliff. Six months later, she was living with her mother and grandparents in Letcher County. By the age of 11, her father moved the family to Charleston, Clark County, Indiana. Seven years later, she was living in Lawrenceburg.

Immediately after high school, she worked as a Cosmetologist. She also worked at Schenley, a technology company in Greendale. On September 25, 1968, Tina graduated from Dearborn County Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide and worked with people with developmental disabilities.

Foresteen joined the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office and retired as a Lieutenant at the age of 75.

Lieutenant Hann died on September 9, 2024 at the age of 84.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Eveadean Lutz. Lieutenant Hann is survived by her children,  Terra (John Skidmore) Kirkpatrick, James Dennis McCabe, and Mark D. McCabe; granddaughters, Brandy Auer, Miranda McCabe, Madison McCabe, and Kylee Jo McCabe; great-grandchildren, Mark, William, Kayden, and Ayla; and siblings, Roosevelt (Janice) Ratliff Jr. and Beverly Perry.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
