se Keeper Deering was on duty on March 24, 1902, at 8 a.m. when he was summoned to act as Court Officer at Probate Court. Knowing that the next westbound streetcar was due soon and hearing a streetcar bell, he hurried out the front door. He saw the streetcar approaching and darted across the street.
