The Cincinnati Police Museum will temporarily close as we navigate through our relocation process which includes cataloging, packing, unpacking, and redisplaying the museum’s thousands of artifacts and filing tens of thousands of archives. Our goal is to do this as efficiently as possible to limit any disruption to our future visitors while we make the #1 Tripadvisor rated Cincinnati attraction even better when we reopen.
The Greater Cincinnati Police Museum will temporarily close effective Sunday, March 22. 2026.
Wee have found a facility that is adequate for the largest law enforcement museum in archives and artifacts count in the country.
We have been packing our storage areas and archives and are now left only with the artifacts in our displays. We cannot operate a museum with empty displays.
Our goal is to open in our new location this fall with a much larger display area, police vehicle display, and more.
All other Greater Cincinnati Police Historical Society functions, including presentations, recruit training, Law Enforcement Situation Simulator, research articles, et al. will continue.
More information will be released when we get closer to reopening at the new location including the address and opening date.
