Sergeant Larry Stephen Huffman
(1948-2026)

Larry was born on December 26, 1948 in Hamilton to Brady and Gladys (Gabbard) Huffman. He graduated from Ross High School in 1967.

Larry joined the Butler County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrolman in 1970. In 1977, he was assigned to the detective division and successfully attended an investigator’s training course at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. He was thereafter promoted to Sergeant. Sergeant Huffman retired in 1992 with 22 years of service.

He also owned Larry’s Barber Shop and worked as a barber for many years.

Sergeant Huffman was a long-time member of the Ross Lions Club and a former coach for Morgan Ross Athletic Association.

Sergeant Huffman died at Berkeley Square in Hamilton on June 20, 2026 at the age of 77.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Jerry Flick, Ronnie Huffman, and Bobby Huffman, and sister-in-law, Margie Huffman. Sergeant Huffmann is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Huffman; children, Lance (Heather) Huffman and Randi (Eddie) Lynch; grandchildren, Brady, Rylie, and Easton; and sisters-in-law, Maggie Huffman and Nancy Flick.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Charles C. Young Funeral Home at 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Venice Cemetery in Ross Township

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
