Greg was born January 7, 1950 in Cincinnati, the third son born to Anthony J. and Rosemary Ann “Rosie” (Riese) Kremm of Clifton. He attended St. Boniface Grade School and Roger Bacon High School where he participated in football, track, glee club, and the famous Roger Bacon band. He was also a Merit Student and Junior and Senior Class Senator. Greg graduated in 1968. He attended the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Police Science, earning an Associate of Science degree in 1971.

Greg joined the Cincinnati Police Division as a Police Cadet on August 14, 1968. Cadet Kremm served in District 2 (314 Broadway) and Detention Section (City Hall). On October 24, 1971, he was promoted to Police Recruit and joined the Division’s 56th Recruit Class. He was promoted to Patrolman on March 12, 1972, issued Badge 215, and assigned to District 1 (310 Lincoln Park Drive). On November 4, 1979, Officer Kremm was transferred to District 3 (3201 Warsaw Avenue) and was soon thereafter assigned to the District 3 Mini-Tac Covert Unit. Two years later, he requested a transfer back to District 1. On April 12, 1992, Officer Kremm was assigned to the Traffic Section (314 Broadway) as a Hit Skip Crash Investigator. Officer Kremm retired June 1, 2000 with almost 32 years of service and 39 letters of appreciation and/or commendation, including six from Police Chiefs.

Officer Kremm died on January 24, 2026 at the age of 76.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kremm. Officer Kremm is survived by his sons, Nicholas G. (Jordan) Kremm, Anthon J. Kremm, and Douglas M. (Katie) Kremm; grandchildren, Brody Kremm and Maddy Kremm; and siblings Michael (Dana) Kremm, Ronald Kremm, and Cindy Kremm.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dalbert Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home at 2880 Boudinot Avenue. The funeral and graveside services will be private.
