Police Officer Adonis A. Moore, Sr. P-536
(1958-2026)

 

 

Adonis was born on January 16, 1958. He attended Western Hills High School where he competed in wrestling and played halfback and fullback for the football team. In 1975, he was named to the 2nd Team all Public High School League as a running back. He graduated in 1976. He also took a real estate course at Cincinnati Technical College.

Adonis joined the Cincinnati Police Division on May 11, 1980 in their 65th Recruit Class. He was promoted to Police Officer on November 23, 1980, issued Badge 536, and assigned to District 1 (310 Lincoln Park Drive). On January 24, 1982, Officer Moore was rotated to District 4 (4150 Reading Road). On December 30, 1990, he transferred to District 2 (3295 Reading Road. During his career, Officer Moore never had an at-fault accident. Officer Moore left law enforcement on January 16, 1997 for other pursuits with almost 17 years of service and 17 letters of appreciation and/or commendation, including two from the Police Chief.

We are advised of Officer Moore’s recent death. He is survived, we believe, by at least three children, Adonis Moore, Jr., Brandy Doreen Moore, and Kimberly Adonis Cummingham.
