Police Chief Kenneth Johnson
(1953-2026)

Ken was born June 11, 1953 to Charles and Elizabeth Johnson. Ken attended Moeller and graduated in 1970. He then attended the University of Cincinnati and earned an Engineering degree in 1974.
While attending college, Ken joined the Reading Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician. He then transferred to the Reading Police Department as a Dispatcher.
In 1976, Dispatcher Johnson joined the Arlington Heights Police Department as a Police Officer.
Police Officer Johnson transferred to the Lockland Police Department on January 4, 1979. He was promoted to Lieutenant on July 11, 1994. He was then promoted to Police Chief in February 1997. Chief Johnson retired in February 2004 with 30 years of police and fire service to three communities.
He then served Blue Ash as an Auxiliary Police Officer.
Chief Johnson died on February 24, 2026 at the age of 72.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Ron Johnson and Marilyn Sexton. Chief Johnson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Michelle M. (Duncan) Johnson; daughter, Melisa Paige (Joe) Rawlings; grandchildren, Caleb, Sophia, and Farrah; and siblings, Bob (Sally) Johnson, Elaine (John) Davis, Pat (Bruce) Schultz, and Maggie Rait.
