Officer Stephen M. Ruholl
(1943-2026)

 

 

Steve was born February 8, 1943 to Herbert George and Catherine (Coughlin) Ruholl. He attended Purcell and Norwood High Schools, graduating from the latter in June 1961.

Steve joined the Cincinnati Police Division in its 43rd Recruit Class on September 27, 1964. He was promoted to Patrolman on December 28, 1964, issued Badge 429, and assigned to District 6 (3295 Erie Avenue). Ten years later, on December 1, 1974, he was transferred to the new District 4 (4150 Reading Road). Twelve years later, on November 30, 1986, Officer Ruholl retired with a disability.

However, he returned to District 4 as a Police Technician. Ten years later, Police Technician Ruholl transferred to Traffic Unit. Officer Ruholl resigned on August 1, 1997 with almost 33 years of service and 23 letters of appreciation and/or commendation.

Officer Ruholl passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 83.

He is survived by his children, Suzanne Marie and Stephen Brian Ruholl, et al.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
