Deputy Thomas Allen Bray #907
(1963-2026)

 

 

Tom was born March 8, 1963 to Charles Allen and Charlene Susan (Loeffler) Bray. He attended Blanchester High School, graduating in 1981. He then took courses in Chemistry, Calculus, and English Composition at the University of Cincinnati.

He also served as a Firefighter/EMT with Whitewater Township

Tom joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer on January 19,1989. He attended the Great Oaks Police Academy, graduated on November 29, 1990, and received his law enforcement officer certification on January 23, 1991. He was promoted to Patrol Clerk on June 2, 1994, then to Patrol Officer on July 14, 1994. Several months after a devastating crash, Deputy Bray retired with a disability on April 1, 2000, having served the County for 11 years.

Suffering years in pain and then with cancer, Deputy Bray died on September 29, 2026 at the age of 63.

Deputy Bray is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jackie B. (Richardson) Bray; children, Lindsey Elizabeth and Logan Matthew; sisters, Bonnie (Rod) Garrett, Kathy (Larry) Burchett, Jill (Donald) Russell, Rhonda Howard, and Amy Pasqualini.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Leming House at Miami Township Community Park at 5951 Buckwheat Road on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
