Sergeant Edward A. “Ed” Kier
(1940-2025)

 

 

Ed was born on February 5, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Loren and Olive (Winkle) Kier.

After high school, Ed joined the United States Navy.

After military service, Ed joined the Miami Township Police Department. He served during the 1970s and 1980 retiring as a Sergeant

While serving, he was also a mechanic where he had joint ownership with his brother Bill, of a Tresler-Comet gas station in Mt. Lookout and B & E Auto Sales in Goshen.

Sergeant Kier died at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash on December 7, 2025 at the age of 85

He was predeceased by his brother, William Douglas Kier, and stepson, Randy Morgan. He is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Patricia Kier; stepchildren, Anthony Morgan, Tina Morgan, and Rodney Morgan; and several step-grandchildren.

He will be privately interred in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio.
