Specialist Terry Cox (1960-2026)

Terry was born April 22, 1960.

Terry joined the Cincinnati Police Division in its 69th Recruit Class on July 5, 1987. He was promoted to Police Officer on November 22, 1987 and issued Badge 47. Later in his career, he was promoted to Police Specialist and issued Badge PS243. He retired with 30 years of service.

Specialist Cox died after a short bout of cancer on August 1, 2026, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was 66.

He was predeceased by his wife. Specialist Cox is survived by his children, grandchildren and uncle, retired Cincinnati Police Officer Glenn Cox.

At his request, there will be no funeral. There may be a gathering in the future to be announced.
