Officer Gregory Allan “Gregg” Reuscher
(1949-2026)
Gregg was born on July 24, 1949 in Springfield to Earl B. and Elizabeth H. (Chambers) Reuscher. He attended Princeton High School, participated in band, football, and golf, and graduated in 1967. From the 1960s to the early 1970s, Gregg’s father was a member of the Springdale City Council.
For seven years, Gregg sold insurance and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea for 21 months.
About 1974, mostly on a lark, Gregg took a Civil Service Exam for the position of Springdale Patrolman and was subsequently appointed. He grew to love the vocation and in 1986 was commended by the City Council for perfect attendance, having never taken off sick in the previous six years. Officer Reuscher retired about 1999 with 25 years of service.
He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #74.
Officer Reuscher died January 25, 2026, at the age of 76.
He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Jennison, and son, William “Jason” Reuscher. Officer Reuscher is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kimberly Enid “Kim” Reuscher; sons, David Courtney and Zachary Allan (Allison) Reuscher; grandchildren, Aidan Courtney, Ella Reuscher, and Brentley Reuscher; brothers, William Jason (Mona) Reuscher, Roger (Deborah) Reuscher, and Rodney Reuscher; and brother-in-law, William Jennison.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 2155 Compton Road (Follow the blue line.).
