Dispatcher Diana Lynn Deaton
(1955-2025)

 

 

Diana was born on September 30, 1955, in Batesville, Indiana, to Earl Leslie Deaton and Jean Lewis “Flossie” (Wallace) Deaton. She attended Aurora High School, graduating in 1973.

Diana joined the Aurora Police Department and served as a Dispatcher for 20 years.

Dispatcher Deaton died on October 4, 2025.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Herbert Deaton, David Deaton, and Deborah Kells. Dispatcher Deaton is survived by her niece, Shannon (Steven) Ricketts.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home at 219 Mechanic Street in Aurora. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating. Interment will take place at River View Cemetery in Aurora.
