Special Agent William H. “Bill” Stuckey

Bill was born on January 11, 1941 in Bloomington, Indiana to William, and agent for Great Lakes Greyhound Lines, and Helen (Fields) Stuckey.  Bill attended Blooming High School; served as vice-president of the National Honor Society and vice-president of the Aviation Club; was a member of the M.Y.C., band, and Hi-Y; and graduated in 1959.

After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps.  We do not know if he was still there for the Vietnam War.  After he was honorably discharged, he lived in Terra Haute, Indiana.

Bill joined the United States Secret Service as a Special Agent during 1965 and we believe he was initially assigned to the Cincinnati Office.  He worked very closely with Cincinnati Police Division during the mid-1970s and was considered to be a “really good agent.”  Many in the Criminal Investigation Section became friends with him.  We also believe he served at least another 20 years.

He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Fairfield Masonic Lodge, Association of Former Agents of the U.S. Secret Service, Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Franklin County Sheriff’s Merit Board, and he also served a term on the Franklin County School Board.

Special Agent Stuckey died on June 30, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  He was 78.

Special Agent Stucky is survived by his wife of 42½ years, Crystal (Busony) Stuckey; children, Elizabeth Nesius of West Terre Haute, Indiana, Brian (Denise) Busony of Huntington Beach, California, William (Selena) Stuckey of Pensacola, Florida, and Kelly (Matt) Stewart of Brookville, Indiana; grandchildren, Helen, Max, Tommy, Harrison, Jack, Ari, Taylor, Morgan, Avery, Kessie, and Chloe; great-granddaughter, Paisley; and a brother, Clay (Josephine) Stuckey of Bedford, Indiana.

Visitation will be held 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street in Brookville.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Ladonna Webb.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
