Sergeant Robert Lewis “Bobby” Williams (1946-2018)

Bobby was born on October 8, 1946, in Hamilton to William Campbell and Janet Lee (Blackford) Williams.  He graduated from Ross High School.

Bobby joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served in the 3rd Infantry Division.

For a time, Bobby served as a sergeant in the Ross Police Department.

He was employed at the Ohio Department of Transportation for 35 years as an aggregate specialist.  He also served as the Chief of the Ross Township Fire Department

Sergeant Williams passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Hospice of Hamilton at the age 71¾.

Sergeant Williams is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandy (Wyrick) Williams; children, Rhonda (Tony) Haven, Cara (Scott) Miller, and Jeremy (Erin) Williams; grandchildren, Brianna, Rylee, Logan, Lola, and Declan; and siblings, John (Suzie) Williams, Mike (Sherry) Williams, Kim (Sonny) Williams, and Bev Taylor.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Charles C. Young Funeral Home at 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road.  A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Ross Township Fire Department, PO Box 71, Ross, OH 45061.
