Robert was born November 11, 1969 to Danny and Monna Fisher.
Robert joined the Sharonville Police Department on May 1, 1993 as a police officer. He served as a patrol officer and DARE Officer.
Officer Fisher joined the United States Coast Guard Reserves in 2001 and served as a Petty Officer. During 2003, he served with the United States Navy during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Petty Officer Fisher was honorably discharged in 2009.
Officer Fisher was promoted to Administrative Sergeant, then, before 2004, to Lieutenant. By 2008, Lieutenant Fisher was serving as the Deputy Safety Service Director.
He left Sharonville to accept a position as Deputy Chief of Police of Hilliard Police Department on January 1, 2012. He was promoted to Police Chief on September 16, 2015. Eight months later, during Nation Police Week, on May 19, 2016, he had the tragic duty to preside over the ceremonies of the only line of duty death in Hilliard’s history. Chief Fisher retired in 2021 with 28 years of service to his country, Sharonville, and Hilliard.
Chief Fisher was recently diagnosed with cancer and lost his battle on March 3, 2023 at the of 53.
Chief Fisher is survived by his wife, Regina Fisher; children, Noah Fisher and Kylie Fisher; and parents, Danny and Monna Fisher.
Visitation will be held 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Rock City Church, 4311 Anson Drive in Hilliard. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
