Kathy was born February 9, 1953, in Cincinnati and adopted by Ott R. and Hester M. (Stieringer) Lindeman. She attended Western Hills High School, graduating in 1971; then Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.

After 1976, she moved to Decator, Indiana where she worked as a Dispatcher for the Decator County Sheriff’s Office. She had several other occupations and positions in multiple cities and states and finally moved back to Cincinnati.

She then went to work in the human resources departments of Cincinnati Water Works, Economic Development, and Municipal Sewer District until 2018.

Kathy joined the Cincinnati Police Division on June 7, 1992, as an Assistant Operator/Dispatcher. On June 6, 1993, she was promoted to Operator/Dispatcher. On October 3, 1999, she transferred to Budget and Evaluation Officer as an Administrative Technician and procurement specialist.

During 2008, she had kidney failure. Her friend, Ellen Wright, donated one of her kidneys. That one began to fail in 2020 and she needed another transplant. But, in 2023, she was diagnosed with cancer. Operator/Dispatcher Dove died on October 11, 2023 at the age of 70.

She is survived by her children, Natalie Lindeman Dove and Garrett Robert Dove; siblings, Cindy Swillinger and Todd Lindeman; nieces, Blair Sonntag, Cara Swillinger, and Heather Buck; and nephew, Max Lindeman; and special friend, Ellen Wright.

The Greater Cincinnati Police Historical Society was made aware of her death on February 9, 2024.

Funeral services were held for the family.
