Deputy Robert Anthony “Rob” Dicker (1968-2023)

Rob was born June 22, 1968 to German immigrants, Anton “Tony” and Magdalena Maria (Flad) Dicker. He grew up in Oakley and attended Purcell-Marion High School, graduating during June1986. He also attended the University of Cincinnati until 1988.

 Rob joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on October 12, 1989 as a Corrections Officer. On August 9, 1993, he was promoted to Identification Technician. On October 9, 2002 he was promoted to Evidence Technician. Deputy Dicker transferred to Court Services on March 9, 2017. Court Services Officer Dicker retired January 1, 2021, and continued in deferred retirement until May 6, 2022 when he left with 32½ years of service to the County and several commendations.

Deputy Dicker was found deceased on June 12, 2023; ten days short of his 55th birthday. 

Deputy Dicker is survived by his wife Janna Dicker; children, Jacob Anthony Dicker and Kendyll Marie Dicker; mother, Magdalena Marie Dicker; stepchild, Zane Zitko, and siblings, John, and Susan Kroell.

Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023  at Mooπre Family Funeral Home in Newtown. A graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road.
