Ken was born February 15, 1948 to Eugene L. and Adelyn Marie Fuell. He attended La Salle High School, graduating in 1967.
Ken joined the United States Navy after high school and during 1969 served as a Seaman Apprentice aboard an Essex Class aircraft carrier, the USS Bon Homme Richard, in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War.
After returning home, during March 1973, Ken joined the Hamilton County Park District as a Ranger. During January 1976, he was installed as a Trustee in the Fraternal Order of Police, Hamilton County Lodge 113.
Also in January, Officer Fuell transferred to the Green Township Police Department as a Police Officer. He left in 1982 for a private sector job and returned in 1984. Soon thereafter he was promoted to Detective and served as such for the balance of his career. His performance evaluations praised him for his professional appearance and maintenance of assigned equipment and his vehicle. Detective Fuell retired on November 7, 2001 with 26 years of service to the Park District and Green Township and numerous letters of appreciation and/or commendation, including from other officers, judges, and a defense attorney.
Officer Fuell died on October17, 2022 at the age of 74.
He was predeceased by his son, Mitchell Fuell. Officer Fuell was survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Sue (Pfeiffer) Fuell; children, Kevin (Erin) Fuell, Andrew Fuell, Eric Fuell, Adam Jeffrey (Michelle) Fuell, Aaron Lawrence (Brooke) Fuell, and Ashley Marie Fuell; grandchildren, Isabelle, Xavier, Andrew, Emilee, Amaryl, Abby, Austin, Blake, Chance, Isabella, Jayden, Jacob, Juliana, and Jagger; a great-grandchild; and siblings, Christine (Tom) Boyd, Larry (Meg) Fuell, Jeff Fuell, and Mary Fuell.
Visitation will be held on 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home on New Haven Road in Harrison. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
