Pete was born January 13, 1939 to Clifford and Susie Suddeth. His father died when he was seven years old. He grew up in Norwood with his mother, brother, and half-sister and attended Purcell High School, graduating in 1957. He also attended the University of Cincinnati during 1958.
On June 3, 1958, Pete joined the United States Army. He was honorably discharged June 3, 1960.
After he returned home, he joined the Amberly Village Police and Fire Department (combined) on August 1, 1961. He was promoted to Lieutenant June 1, 1983. Lieutenant Suddeth retired in the early 1990s with more than three decades of service to his country and community.
Lieutenant Suddeth died June 22, 2022 at the age of 83.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy M. Corbett; brother, William Joseph Suddeth; and half-sister, Mary Louise Berning. Lieutenant Suddeth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley A. (Vogt) Suddeth; children, Debra S. (Steven) Feist and Barbara C. (Phillip) Taylor; grandchildren, Father Matt, Becky, Angela, Chris, Perry, Michelle, Lindsay, and Amber; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at T. P. White, and Sons Funeral Home at 2050 Beechmont Avenue in Mt. Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 123 East Thirteenth Street in downtown Cincinnati.

Shirlley I am so very sorry about Pete’s passing. I know the pain you are suffering as I lost my beloved husband a few months ago. Dick and Pete were good friends. I will keep both of them in my prayers and in my heart. May God bless you.
