Mike was born May 15, 1959. He attended Becker Elementary, Schwab Junior, and Aiken High School until 1985.
During and after high school, Mike worked in a convenience store, driving a wrecker for Budke Towing and Colerain Auto Service, and a groundskeeper for U.S. Parking at the University of Cincinnati.
Mike joined the United States Navy and served Electrician’s Mate Fireman aboard the combat stores ship, U.S.S. Concord (ASF-5). EMFN (E-3) Jourdan was honorably discharged June 25, 1985, with a Navy Expeditionary Medal (Lebanon) and Sea Service Ribbons (2 awards), and transferred to the Naval Reserve.
Mike joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a Clerk I on September 5, 1985. On February 20, 1986, he was promoted to Corrections Officer. After medical issues, Deputy Jourdan accepted a position as Clerk 2 on January 22, 1998. He served as such until December 17, 1998.
Deputy Jourdan died in his sleep on March 12, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the American Legion Post 513 at 7947 Hamilton Avenue in Mt. Healthy.
