Mike was born during December 1954 to Porter and Lou Zeta Arrowood. He attended Newport High School where he played football and graduated in 1973.
Mike joined the Covington Police Department on October 3, 1980. He was promoted to Detective, and, during September 1992, he worked as an undercover officer. On November 1, 1995 he was promoted to Sergeant. By October 1999 he was assigned to the Administrative Support. Sergeant Arrowood also served as the department’s spokesman. He was promoted to Lieutenant and then to Captain by April 2006. Captain Arrowood attended the 227th Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and graduated in 2006. Captain Arrowood retired July 31, 2007.
After his retirement, he joined the United States Marshal Service from which he recently retired with forty years of service to his community and country.
Captain Arrowood died at his residence Monday, September 26, 2022 at the age of 67.
He was predeceased by his parents, Porter and Lou Zeta Arrowood. Captain Arrowood is survived by his wife of 43 years, Saundra Jean (Snowden) Arrowood; children, Lisa (Harvey) Watson and James Michael Arrowood, and siblings, Joan Arrowood, Sherry (Mark) Powell, Stephen Arrowood, and Randy (Jenny) Arrowood.
