Corrections Officer 4 Donald Raymond Gilreath III (1985-2021)
Donny was born January 5, 1985 in Cincinnati to Donald Raymond, Jr. and Pamela Sue (Lester) Gilreath. He grew up in Deer Park and attended St. Saviour Elementary and Moeller High Schools. He graduated in 2003.
Donny joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer on April 7, 2005. He served with distinction for almost sixteen years.
Deputy Gilreath contracted COVID-19. He died from complications of the virus on February 12, 2021 at the age of 36.
Deputy Gilreath is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann (Spencer) Gilreath; children, Cameron Gilreath, Haley Gilreath, and Avery Gilreath; parents, Donald Raymond, Jr. and Pamela Gilreath; and sisters, Kelly Elizabeth Gilreath and Kathryn Ruth “Katy” (Ross) Kendall.
Law enforcement visitation will be held 9:30 to 11:20 a.m. and public visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home at 10211 Plainfield Road. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required for all guests attending. A private funeral service will begin following the visitation and live streamed at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Facebook site. Immediately following, graveside ceremonies and interment will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Evendale.
