Records Clerk Linda Louise (Stuttler) Roesel
Linda was born on May 28, 1947 in Newport to Charles Daniel (Buddy) and Dorothy Eileen (Hindmarch) Stuttler. She was a lifelong resident of Newport and attended Newport High School, graduating in June 1965.
Linda joined the Newport Police Department and served as a traffic controller and records clerk. She retired after 38 years of service.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Legion of Mary, and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Records Clerk Roesel passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood at the age of 72.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Charlene Trimnell and Michael Stuttler. Records Clerk Stuttler is survived by her sons, Bill (Jodie) Dieters, David Dieters, and Earl Roesel; grandsons, William (Nikayla) Dieters, Derek (Jen) Dieters, and David (Kim) Dieters; and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Stuttler;
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp & Erschell Funeral Home at 835 York Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Holy Spirit Church at 825 Washington Avenue. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas.
