Police Officer Lehman W. Dixon (1939-2018)
Lehman was born July 25, 1952 to Ben and Myrtle (Murphy) Dixon. He played basketball for the Taft High School, graduating in 1971, the Hamilton Miami Chiefs, and into adulthood on a Police-Fire 67 industrial team.
Lehman joined the Hamilton Police Department on July 19, 1975. Officer Dixon retired March 3, 1994 with almost 19 years of service to his community.
Officer Dixon passed away on November 12, 2018 at the age of 66. Hamilton Police Chief Craig R. Bucheit ordered a 7-day period of morning from November 14th through 20th.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Veda, Libby, Kenny, and Jimmy. Police Officer Dixon is survived by his wife, Debbie (DeBoard) Dixon; sons, Chad Dixon and Sean Dixon; and father-in-law, Don (Carmen) DeBoard.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Webb-Noonan-Kidd Funeral Home at 240 Ross Avenue in Hamilton.
