Deputy Michael S. Breslin (1948-2018)
Mike was born March 30, 1948 in Cincinnati to Frank and Lucille (Pike) Breslin, Jr.
After high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam. His father passed away in 1969 while Mike was serving. He was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart.
Mike joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on September 27, 1973 as a Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Breslin retired October 1, 2000.
On June 15, 2001, Deputy Breslin joined the Xavier University Police Department as a Police Officer. Officer Breslin finally retired February 26, 2013 with more than 45 years of service to his country, community, and university campus.
Deputy Breslin passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, in Blue Ash.
He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Breslin. Deputy Breslin is survived by his wife, Peggy Breslin; children, Green Township Police Officer Shannon (Rob) Crone and Michael Breslin, Jr.; and grandchildren, Paige and Abigail Crone.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 Broadway Street in Harrison. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, with Rev. Jeffrey M. Kemper officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 701 E. Ross Avenue with Police honors.
