Deputy Frederick Maurice Davis (1936-2018)

Fred was born June 2, 1936 in Anderson, Indiana to Frederick Maurice and Alma Geneva (Slade) Davis of Noblesville, Indiana.  He grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School and University of Cincinnati.

Fred joined the Butler County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff during 1982.  He retired in 1998, and continued service until January 2005 as a Special Deputy.  He retired completely after 23 years of service.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 38.

Deputy Davis contracted dementia.  He passed away in Estero, Florida on December 27, 2018.

He is predeceased by his sister, Norma Stivers.  Deputy Davis is survived by his wife, Linda Davis; daughters, Mindy and Jan; granddaughters, Anna and Caitlin; sister, Joyce (John) Nance; stepchildren, Jim (Elaina) Stuard and Rebecca Stuard.
