Beverly was born on March 25, 1928 to Earl L. and Irene (Moneyhon) McGee. Earl was a stores keeper for the Cincinnati Board of Education. Beverly attended Western Hills High School.
On October 31, 1949, Beverly married Cincinnati Police Officer Thomas J. Harvey, Jr.
On December 29, 1974, Beverly joined the Cincinnati Police Division as an Assistant Operator Dispatcher. Her classification belied her actual duties as office manager for the Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit (RENU). During her career, she never earned less that a 95% performance evaluation and most years was rated at an unheard of 100%. She retired on May 1, 1988 with 13 years of service.
Assistant Operator Dispatcher Harvey passed away on October 7, 2018 at 90½ years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cincinnati Police Specialist Thomas J. Harvey, Jr. and daughters, Kellie Mohr and Kathy Knipp. She is survived by her son, Timothy Harvey; son-in-law, Randy Knipp; grandchildren, Kim (Kevin) Penney, Jenni (Jason) Hovekamp, Ben Harvey, Sam Harvey, Lori (Daniels) Jones, and Ricky Mohr; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Emily, Carter, Hayden, Colton, Ethan, Kylie, Leah, Aubrey, and Leah; and sister, Ruther Harvey.
Funeral services will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home at 10385 New Haven Road in Harrison.
