Every year Crime Stoppers honors those who have contributed to making a difference in our community. The 2018 Crime Stoppers Awards Breakfast will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Jack Cincinnati Casino, 1000 Broadway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

Nomination Guidelines

Crime Stoppers is a multi faceted nonprofit organization with a rich tradition of increasing safety in our community by solving crimes. In living that mission, our programs and services work to build safe, strong and healthy communities. Our efforts, based on the mission of the founders of Crime Stoppers convey how we view our work as volunteers rather than just a job.

We know that we are not alone in that effort and have created the Crime Stoppers Awards to recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a similar commitment to our region. If you would like to nominate an individual(s) or organization(s) that you believe works tirelessly to build a safe, healthy and strong community, please read the following guidelines and email your completed nomination by Friday, August 17, 2017.

Nominations are due Friday, August 17, 2018.   Nomination must be submitted by email in word office format to: crimetipsters@gmail.com. 

 

Award Categories:

  1. Law Enforcement/Police Officer/Security Award – Any individual in the legal, law enforcement or security sector whose actions above and beyond their normal duties has had a positive impact on the community by promoting community safety and/or building stronger communities in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana.
  2. Media Representative/Organization Award– Any individual, group of individuals or media company that has shown dedication to promoting community safety and building healthy communities in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana.
  3. Corporate Representative/Corporation Award– Any individual, group of individuals or Corporation that has had a positive impact on the community by promoting community safety and/or building stronger communities in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana.
  4. Crime Stopper Board Member Award– Any Crime Stopper Board member from the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana who has shown through their volunteer service is dedicated to promoting community safety and/or building stronger communities.
  5. Community Organization/Citizen Volunteer Award – Any individual from the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana area who has shown through their volunteer service a dedication to promoting safety and/or building stronger communities.
  6. Student Award– Any student from the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana area who has shown through their volunteer service a dedication to promoting community safety and/or building stronger communities.

The Awards Committee will select award recipients. The winners of the 2018 Crime Stoppers Awards will be honored at the Crime Stoppers Awards Breakfast on Thursday October 4, 2018.

CRIME STOPPERS AWARD NOMINATION 

NOTE: To be considered nominations must adhere to following guidelines.

 

  1. Cover page should include:
    • Nominator Information:
      • Full Name (Position & Title), Organization, Street Address (City, State, Zip), Phone & E-mail
    • Nominee Information:
      • Full Name (Position & Title), Organization, Street Address (City, State, Zip), Phone & E-mail
    • Nomination Category:
      • Check one category that best applies to the individual (s) or organization you are nominating: Law Enforcement – Police Officer, Media Representative – Organization Award, Corporation Representative – Corporation Award, Board Member of the Year Award, Community Organization – Citizen Volunteer Award, Student Award

 

  1. Please submit your nomination with a one-page narrative detailing the rationale for the award for the person you wish to nominate and the award you believe the person deserves.

 

  1. Include any supporting documentation to help the selection committee have the proper perspective. What the nominee did that is extra ordinary or outstanding. Describe the impact on Crime Stoppers or the community due to his/her/their efforts.

 

  1. Include a one-page testimonial for the award presentation.Nominations are due Friday, August 17, 2018.   Award nominations should be submitted by email to crimetipsters@gmail.com in doc format (word office).
