Galen was born June 23, 1949. He graduated from Glen Este High School in 1967.
During May 1970, Galen joined the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff and dispatcher. He resigned April 8, 1977. On July 30, 1979, Galen started working for the Bethel Police Department for a short time. On May 2, 1982, Galen started working as a dispatcher for the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office. He moved to the Clermont County Emergency Dispatch Center in August 5,1988 as a shift commander. During 1994, he was recognized for saving a child’s life, over the phone, when she was having difficulty in breathing. Supervisor Williams retired November 13, 1012 with 40+ years of service to the county and at least 12 letters of appreciation and/or commendation.
Supervisor Williams was a member of the J. B. Covert Lodge #437 of Free and Accepted Masons.
Supervisor Williams passed away on June 20,2018, at the age of three days before his 69th birthday.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Rivertree Church, 5857 Highview Drive in Milford. Funeral and Masonic Funeral Services were also held. Burial followed at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road.
