Ron was born December 11, 1952 in Jackson, Kentucky to Henry and Elvira (Johnson) Turner.

Ron served 20 years as a Police Officer in Newport and Cold Spring.

Officer Turner also worked as a core maker over 40 years at Reliable Castings.

He was a life-long Mason and member of the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge #163 F&AM.

Officer Turner passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the age 65.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arnold Turner and Willis Turner.  Officer Turner is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deborah (Debellevue) Turner; son, David (Amy) Turner; grandchildren Joey Coomer, Lanie Coomer, Hannah Coomer, Benjamin Turner, and Caroline Turner; brother, Russell (Dessie) Turner; and sister, Pauline Turner.

Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Route 42 in Florence.  Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
