Lieutenant Stephan L. “Steve” Daniels (1957-2018)

Steve was born January 23, 1957, to Russell and Orene (Cain) Daniels.

Steve joined the Norwood Police Department in 1977.  By the 1983, he was assigned as a Detective.  During 1984 and 1985 he was involved in the Alton Coleman investigation.  By 1990, he was promoted to Sergeant.  During the 1990s, he also served on the Police Wage and Benefit Committee.  He was promoted to Lieutenant by 1999 and retired in 2001 with 24 years of service.

After retirement, he worked as a real estate agent at Huff Realty.

Lieutenant Daniels passed away on June 6, 2018 at the age 61.

He was predeceased by his mother.  Lieutenant Daniels is survived by his father; children, Kristy Daniels (Shawn Jenkins) and Rusty (Stephanie) Daniels; grandchildren, Kaiden Jenkins, Kemper Jenkins, Crosby Daniels, and Sebastian Daniels; and siblings, Greg Daniels, Rick (Regina) Daniels, and Kathy (Michael) Yeary.

Visitation will be held 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway in Florence.  A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Memorial may be made to the “FOP of Ohio Foundation”, 222 East Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215-4611.
